API Data Tools

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how API Data Tools ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information related to your use of our website and APIs.

1. Overview

API Data Tools values user privacy and transparency. We provide developer utilities that never analyze or inspect your data for marketing or analytical purposes. All processing occurs in secure compute environments hosted on AWS (US-East-1).

2. Information We Collect

We minimize data collection strictly to what is necessary for authentication, logging, and service reliability. The following categories are collected:

  • Account Information: Username and email only — managed by AWS Cognito (our identity provider).
  • API Logs: API usage metrics kept for up to 45 days, including file name and error status, if applicable.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics is used purely for general website performance insights — not for tracking or profiling users.
  • Support Communications: When contacting support, your email content and address are used solely for ticket resolution.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in private, access-controlled AWS environments. Output data from API requests is not permanently stored. The storage architecture ensures isolation between user workloads and follows AWS security best practices such as encryption-at-rest and HTTPS-only connections.

4. Data Retention

Our retention policy is as follows:

  • API logs are retained for a maximum of 45 days for debugging and reliability.
  • Account data in Cognito persists until account deletion requests.
  • We do not store output files or input content sent through tools.

You may request deletion of any data retained under this policy by emailing support@apidatatools.com.

5. Data Access and Usage

We strictly prohibit internal personnel or third parties from reading, inspecting, or accessing your processed data. Automated systems perform all conversions and validation tasks, and we maintain full operational separation from user data.

6. Hosting Infrastructure

API Data Tools operates entirely on Amazon Web Services (AWS), primarily within the US-East-1 region. AWS provides enterprise-grade compliance and data protection standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR readiness).

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use minimal cookies limited to authentication sessions and basic analytics. Google Analytics may capture anonymized usage metrics, such as page visits, device type, or site performance, but it never includes personal data or API payload details.

8. User Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access information stored about your account.
  • Request deletion of any retained logs or account data.
  • Opt out of performance analytics cookies via browser settings.

10. Service Level and Availability

API Data Tools does not guarantee service-level agreements (SLA) for uptime or API response times. The tools and APIs are provided on a best-effort basis without performance guarantees.

11. Policy Updates

We may amend this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect improvements or legal changes. Updates are published directly on this page with the version date noted above.

12. Children's Privacy

Our services are designed for developers and not intended for persons under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or store information from minors. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, please contact our support team for prompt removal.

13. Third-Party Data Processors

We rely on a limited number of trusted third-party platforms for infrastructure and analytics:

  • AWS (Amazon Web Services) — hosts all servers and storage resources.
  • AWS Cognito — provides secure authentication and session management.
  • Google Analytics — collects anonymized performance metrics for website optimization.

These providers each maintain independent privacy and security compliance, including ISO27001, SOC2, and GDPR-readiness. We do not allow any third party to access user data except for essential purposes of service delivery.

14. International Data Transfers

All data processing occurs primarily in the AWS US-East-1 region in the United States. Users acknowledge that their data may be transferred internationally for hosting and operational purposes. However, API Data Tools is legally registered and operates from India, and Indian data protection standards and compliance obligations apply to all processing activities.

15. Data Breach Response

In the unlikely event of a data breach, API Data Tools will promptly investigate and take corrective actions. If we discover unauthorized access that could affect user privacy, we will notify impacted individuals and regulatory authorities as required by applicable law.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy and any associated disputes are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any legal proceedings shall be conducted exclusively within the competent courts of India, where API Data Tools is registered and operates.

17. Your Consent

By continuing to use our website or APIs, you consent to the data handling practices described in this Privacy Policy.
